I hope your week is going fabulously and you're starting to feel excited for Christmas and the amazing year of 2016!
This morning I came across a message that I really want to share with you as it is completely in alignment with the mindset shifts that I myself have made over the past couple of years.
I believe very strongly now that we should always stand up for ourselves as women and, equally, that we always feel it within our power to say no when we don't want to do something........whether it be something big like a trip or something relatively minor like an interview or conference call.
It is this power of choice that truly signifies freedom to me and, although, it may take time, you will feel absolutely empowered and motivated by stepping into your assertiveness.
Here is the passage that made an impact on me this morning:
Don't Back Down
"First be quite clear about your intentions. If you're unclear, then confusion will lessen your power and force.
Like a candle in the night be very clear and bright in what is acceptable to you in this situation.
Think of the unparalled rise in your own viewpoint if you are to stand up for yourself, and speak up about your needs and your deepest truth!
Now is the time to touch your power, for its heat and flame will ignite your passion, which will propel you forward in countless ways.
Even in the face of fear, you can still stand up for your ideals and your truth.

I haven't always been assertive and there was a period in my adult life when I found it difficult to make even the smallest decision so believe me when I say that I understand you.
I understand that desire to please everyone around you and to put everyone else's needs infront of your own. However, it is only when we finally decide to make a stand for our own desires and needs that we can truly be of service to those around us.
Believe in the power of your own intuition and trust yourself to make the right decision. Something that my own lovely coach says is "Make decisions quickly and change your mind slowly".
Indecision is an energy leak for all those involved so commit to your chosen path and believe in your own guidance!
